The Links, Incorporated established the Health and Human Services facet in response to the chronic health disparities that persist in our communities and result in the decreased life expectancy of African-Americans. The mission of the Health and Human Services facet is to promote and facilitate programs that support the maintenance of good health and the elimination of chronic health disparities in communities of color through education, health advocacy and utilization of health resources. Community education about health risks is crucial and The Links, Incorporated is committed to improving health and health care in our communities.

The Links have been involved in a number of efforts through its 65 years of existence that focus on healthier communities, like Move Your Body, 1 million miles walk, Health Ambassador Program, and much more. Hundreds of bikes and other equipment to increase children activities in the community were donated and distributed. Additionally, fitness memberships were awards and health screens were conducted for several years in our communities. Recently, during the Covid pandemic, the LR Links have provided community education and personal protective equipment (PPE) to thousands in our communities. In addition, donation to the local food banks helped our most vulnerable citizens during the pandemic.
